Need more info: If it‘s solated low GFR, and you‘re otherwise healthy (with normal urine studies and maybe ultrasound) all that needs to be done is continued monitoring. Because even if you do have chronic disease, the mainstay of treatment is to control blood pressure, which you say is low. I have not seen anyone worked up for isolated low GFR that revealed anything after expensive tests. What says your doctor?

BUN and creatinine: If you have high BUN and creatinine levels, you may be dehydrated or you may have chronic kidney disease. Ask the physician who ordered the blood test for an opinion as to the cause of the high levels in the blood. The physician knows the patient best and can give a more meaningful answer to your question. Good luck.

: What was eGFR?  Best would be to do a 24 hr urine for GFR.  If you have hypertension add urine Na and K.  If these are not at DASH goal then discuss with your team about DASHing.

BUN Cr. Ratio: is useful in the differential diagnosis of acute or chronic renal disease. Reduced renal perfusion, e.g., congestive heart failure, or recent onset of urinary tract obstruction will result in an increase in BUN/Creatinine ratio. Increased urea formation also results in an increase in the ratio, e.g., gastrointestinal bleeding, trauma, etc. When there decreased urea in liver disease, ratio is low.

Ratio: If the BUN is elevated out of proportion to the creatinine, it could signify dehydration or bleeding into the intestinal tract. Your ratio appears to be normal. The normal BUN  is up to 20 and the creatinine is up to about 1.2(ratio close to 20).

Nope: The ratio is high due to a relative increase in the BUN with a perfectly normal cr. You may have been a bit dehydrated with the fast. No issue here.

Bun and creatinine: Do not worry about ratio of bun/cr. Bun is affected by many factors, hydration status, protein intake, muscle mass, whether on any hormone supplement. In this case, the creatine is quite low which is not necessarily a problem. Glucose can normally be higher in young children, so not a problem. A pediatrician or endocrinologist can tell you more if fasting glucose of 134 in a 2 yr old is a problem?

Dehydration?: Your creatinine is normal, the slight elevation in BUN may be due to dehydration associated with fasting. Ask you doctor for an estimated glomerular filtration rate, and discuss repeating the test after adequate hydration.
