Not proven: There hasn't been a study comparing the two, that i'm aware of.  Personally, i think silicone-based scar products, like kelocoat or prosil, work better than either of those two.

Accepted Answer

Nope! (Sorry): Scars are permanent, and there is no surgeon or surgical technique (or laser etc.) in existence that can completely remove or eliminate scars. Bio-oil is fine for gentle scar massage, which will help them soften and fade, but will not remove them! ultraviolet avoidance is critical to prevent hyperpigmentation of pink scars.

No: It's just another health fraud. I'd urge you to keep your freckles anyway. If you use a freckle remover, even from a dermatologist, you risk disfiguring yourself. Freckles are endearing, they're distinctively you, and a majority of your friends probably like them. Ask them. If you want them less prominent, avoid excess sunlight -- wise in any case.

Bio oil won't: Help anything, but spend your money. Stretch marks are tears in the skin from weight gain and there is nothing that will remove them except surgery.

No: A dermatologist can make these much less visible using abrasion, laser, or fillers, if that is what you want. No topical treatment will touch them.

Neither: Neither of these will have any lasting effect whatever on acne scars. This is a cruel fraud perpetrated on the internet by people already damaged by a cruel disease. Tea tree oil has some limited activity against the actual pimple because it has estrogens; males gotten breast development from it. A dermatologist can make the scars less visible if that is your wish.

Stick to basics: Burns are the response of the tissues to injury from heat. It is simply inflammation which means increase blood flow to the area to promote healing. Depth determines care.  Do not use ice worsens already injured skin. Cool water soaks help as can taking anti-inflammation medicines like Motrin or advil (ibuprofen). Avoid any further damage as this can cause scarring . Good skin cream applied daily/gently helps.
