my blood count was 7.54. dr put me on iron and vit b complex. is this enough? should i be more worried and doing more?

Probably: A hemoglobin level of 7.54 suggests a severe anemia.  In young women, mild anemia can at times be from excess menstruation and treated with iron alone, however with more severe anemia the cause should be understood and corrected. Your doctor should know more about the cause in this situation and the plan to correct it, and it would be appropriate to ask about this.

if i am taking finasteride and b-complex tablets, can i donate blood?

Finasteride: It is not advisable to donate blood while taking finasteride. If you discontinue Finasteride there is a 6 month washout period before you are eligible to donate blood again. All blood bank will screen pts for medication like finasteride.

why is blood pressure dropping after meals? only recovers if take a vit b complex. bp has always been stable.

Bp drop: Postprandial drop in bp is more common in the elderly as their autonomic nervous system may malfunction and fail to regulate arterial pressure when blood flows away from the cardiovascular tree and enters the gi tract for digestion to occur. I can understand the relationship with vitamin B complex in your case or why your bp drops after eating. Heart rate often accelerates after meals.Does yours?

Depends: The INR is a measure of how thin your blood is.  When alcohol effects your INR it is causing your blood to become more thin. A low INR means that your blood is thicker. A high INR means your blood is thinner. If your INR is too low i.e. Too thick i.e. Not anticoagulated, then there are treatment options to anticoagulate including an injectable medications. You should discuss  with your doctor.

i take losartan 50mg for blood pressure.  can i take a multivitamin and a b complex vitamin with it?

Losartan interaction: The main interaction with Losartan would be taking any large amount of Potassium, which may be a part of your multivitamin. I might also be concerned that you want to take both a multivitamin and a B-complex vitamin. Potential is there for excess B vitamins. 
If possible, have a consultation with your pharmacist to discuss the specific multivitamin and possible interactions.

carbon dioxide of my blood is 17. the rest of my blood test was within range. why would it be 17 and does taking folic acid thru b-complex lower it to this level?

: Low levels of CO2 in blood may lower lung function, but a repeat may show the low value to be transient.  Low CO2 may also worsen asthma symptoms.  Consult your physician for his/her suggestions to correct these effects.

Yes: Omega 3 fatty acids have a mild blood thinning property. You list pulmonary embolism as one of your conditions. It definitely wouldn't be enough anticoagulant to treat that very serious condition. B-complex does not have anticoagulant properties. If you are taking coumadin/warfarin, tell your doctor about all the medications and supplements you are taking.

Combination: That combination should be safe. I presume you're doing something about your weight at 5'8" and 280lb.

i've had 2 ua's show blood in my urine, but with no growth within a 4 month span. my urine also smells like vitamin b complex, but i only took it for 1 week last year. i also seem to have issues emptying out my bladder completely?

: Further work up will be needed for hematuria or blood in urine. That includes many times imaging, such as CT scan and ultrasound as well as possibly cystoscopy in trying to directly visualize the bladder. Your current doc remains your best reference in trying to coordinate further work up as needed.

i am a brain stroke patient taking blood thinners and start having red rashes on my feet. like blood coming out of veins due to thinness.  what to do?

See your doctor: If you are taking blood thinner and have signs of either a red rash you need to see your doctor as soon as possible to make sure you do not have a hematological problem that was induced by the blood thinner.
