BP monitor. : A 24 hour blood pressure monitor may help reveal the daily postural changes in blood pressure that may be suggestive of POTS.  If used, a detailed diary of the day's activities and symptoms must be logged so that events and symptoms can be correlated with blood pressure changes.

ive had symptoms of pots at drs on bp monitor and my dr wants me to have a tilt test to diagnose and start med. can you treat symptoms without meds?

Yes, but...: There are things that you can do to help lessen you POTS symptoms: Drink plenty of water, 60-80 oz a day. Avoid caffeine and alcohol, which can cause you to pee out enough body water to make symptoms worse. Don't skip meals.  Go to bed at a consistent time, and get plenty of sleep. Avoid excessive heat or cold. 

These may help; but medications are often necessary. Please talk with your doctor.

i'm 21 and have been v ill with suspected pots diagnosis. heart tests normal but getting event monitor. was suggested i push myself. will go for a short very accompanied walk but prob pass out. safe?

See below: Pots is complicated and there are different forms of it. Fatigue is a major symptom. Event monitor may be helpful and based on this you may be prescribed a beta-blocker, a medication which may slow your heart rate and prevent symptoms.

: Supraventricular &amp; ventricular premature beats can be provoked by secretion of adrenaline which occurs with excitement or stressful situations &amp; a POTS episode would be a likely cause. If only occasional single premature beats occurred it wouldn't be alarming. Clarify: IS 80 the "diastolic" (bottom) blood pressure number, or the pulse.  A BP of 120/80 is considered normal.  Tachycardia is defined as a heart rate over 100 b.p.m.  Interestingly, it would be unusual for your heart rate to remain below 100 BPM for two days.  Could they have been referring to supraventricular tachycardia?  Would see electrophysiologist specializing in POTS for more help.

: If she does not listen or follow your advice remove those things from her access and she should see a Psychiatrist

: If you are sick because of something else, the symptoms should be different.
