No: If the MRI of the brain is normal, a pet scan would not be indicated for the symptoms that were described.  A neurology consult would be advised. Good luck.

MRI: Is generally a better test. Depends on the indication. Ct does have radiation but is a small amount.

Imaging: Results are worrisome, but they do not explain her symptoms. Including her cervical spine in the work up will be critical as well. Talk to her doctor as he or she has the best view on her situation.

Need more details: what was the initial reason for the MRI in the first place? If the radiologist and the ordering doctor believe the spot is benign and chronic it is probably best to leave it alone. Loud: The MRI makes a noise like a jack hammer.
It doesn't hurt at all, you will feel nothing.  You should just close your eyes, think pleasant thoughts, and try to hold as still as possible so that the images are as good as they can be.
There's no need to fear at all.  I've had an MRI and it's really easy.

Not usually: Not usually.  You usually just need heat, massage, or rest.  But if you have a stiff neck (the kind the hurts if you try to touch your chin to your chest) with headache or fever, you need to see a doctor right away.

It depend what the: Doctor ask for if he ask for MRI with contrast theyuse the dye, if he aask for MRI without contrast they do not use dye.

Yes: Yes, everyone is required to remove all jewelry before even entering the room in which an MRI is located. It's primarily a safety concern, but can also affect the quality of a scan. 

I once forgot to remove my metalic collar tabs from my shirt and before i even got close to the MRI scanner my collars were flapping like a bird trying to take off. Those magnets are extremely strong!
