You can take meds like tylenol, (acetaminophen) Aspirin or Motrin for pain or Benadryl for swelling.  Make a paste of 2 parts baking soda & 1 part water & apply.   Or you can apply a meat tenderizer poultice to the area.

Finally watch for signs of infection which will show up between 24-48 hours after the bite with increased redness, pain, swelling. See a doctor.

Retained stinger?: Wasps and their relatives (bees, yellow jackets, hornets) don't bite; they sting.  Regardless, you wouldn't ordinarily have symptoms 2 months later! You might have a retained stinger, a splinter or another foreign body in the wound.  Or it may have become infected.  In any case, this should be checked out by a medical professional.

Home remedy...: that we used to use all the time as kids.  It felt good, it was cool, it kept the swelling down, and we could keep playing outside, but that's about it.  A cold washcloth or ice pack would do just as much.  Whatever you do, make sure you get the stinger out.

Bites: Bites from bee or other hymenoptera species usually hurt. Benadryl, cool compress and NSAID. As long as it is not swelling more or you are not having any other symptoms such as breathing problems this should resolve.
