Emptying Prostate: It can. But, not by itself, usually.  First one must treat the underlying condition.  I often have my guys with this problem start on an herb known as saw palmetto. And, especially the first week to empty their prostate gland with several ejaculations.  If after one week the symptoms are improved then I have them stay on saw palmetto for ninety days.

Probabely Normal: It is probabely normal, you can still have some ejaculate after prostatectomy.Even though 90% of men will have retrograde ejaculation but some !0% may have some ejaculation.

Several things: After prostatectomy, some men suffer difficulty with orgasm.  Occasionally, Alpha blockers can be used to allay pain or obstructive symptoms.  To improve orgasms, your erections should be optimized.  Consider meds & other therapies to help with erections and hopefully orgasms will be more satisfying.  Adt lmits sexual function, and if on these treatments, a "holiday" from them could be helpful.

See your urologist: Sexual side effects are common with medications for an enlarged prostate.  However, stopping may cause other issues.  Go see your doctor and see if you need to switch medicines, change your dose, or discontinue use.

Changed anatomy: After prostatectomy, men must rely on a single sphincter mechanism. This is the one that can be controlled voluntarily. An involuntary sphincter at the bladder neck is necessarily removed during radical prostatectomy. During emission and ejaculation, a coordinated contraction of the bladder neck and relaxation of the voluntary sphincter occurs. After surgery this can lead to the result described.

: I think your lack of pleasure despite attaining an orgasm is more psychogenic. That is you're overthinking or not totally relaxed while masturbating.  Mood and anxiety can be factors.  For example, instead of watching porn, try fantasizing. There are men's sexual health clinics or sexology specialists who could help you if needed.

BPH treatment: 59 y m with BPH & tamsulosin. Depending on the size & complications your urologist can give best option.Minimal invasive procedures are microwave, laser, needle ablation. Then turp, nerve sparing prostatectomy, incision prostate. The later two preserve erection & ejaculation. Turp is 90% done &5% retrograde ejaculation rate. Again size & complications determine the choice of procedure. Thanks.
