I am somewhat baffled as to why this diagnosis is being considered based on information provided. hi, still haven't received the confirmation of ms diagnosis, when the weather is hot and humid i loose my balance,diff walking,and i fall. brain mri showed white matters. do i have ms or it's a beginning of ms? thanks?

Get on therapy: Let's assume your diagnosis is correct, and you have a neurologist.  You need to commence a disease modifying drug asap, and currently, there are injectables, oral agents, and infusions.  A low fat, low salt diet, with vitamin d-3 supplements, and aerobic exercise can be very useful.   Long term outcomes seem best when treatment starts at time of diagnosis.

Different disorders: Lupus can mimic MS, and rarely may co-exist.  Severity of both can vary extensively.  Cannot really compare one to another, but if you have MS only, best to use a potent medication such as Tysabri (natalizumab) or Gilenya.

MS mortality: Research suggests that lack of ms treatment may shorten lifespan, 8-14 yrs, but the bigger issue is resultant disability which can affect walking, balance, memory, energy, etc.  If you have ms, you absolutely need to be treated.

Do NOT worry: The injection probably caused a mild local reaction, or even nicked a vein.  Unless the lump enlarges or gets hot or pustulent, nothing to worry about.
