Ear infection?: First you need to know if it is a real ear infection.  This requires professional to examine the ear.  If the infection is in the external ear canal it may respond to topical drops depending on the severity of the infection.  If it is in the middle ear it may be viral and will resolve in time; if bacterial may need antibiotics.  If severe and in the inner ear may need drainage/antibiotics.
