Usually 7 to 10 days: If a vein is bruised this usually results in bleeding either under the skin to form a hematoma (trapped clotted blood) or from the skin directly.  Veins injured below the skin with a hematoma will take about 7 to 10 days to heal while a vein bleeding from the skin will usually stop with direct pressure and heal within 5 to 7 days.

With caution: Bruising is likely indicative of overly vigorous sexual activity. The penis can be "broken" as a result of vigorous activity while the penis is erect which would be exceedingly painful and possibly inhibit future erectile function.

Dryness: The vast majority of conjunctival hemorrhages are caused by dry eyes which can be helped with artificial tears.  Sometimes, the bleeding can be worsened by use of anticoagulants such as Coumadin (warfarin) or plavix.  Other causes include uncontrolled blood pressure and bleeding disorders.  If you have headaches or other symptoms, please see your ophthalmologist right away.

Yes: if they didn't heal, all hemorrhagic strokes would be fatal.  The problem is the portion of brain that is killed by the pressure created by the bleeding, and depending how much and where that is, there are differing degrees of damage from such strokes.

Surgeon input: You would need to ask the doctor what blood vessels was hit. Then they would need to explain if any follow up or restrictions are indicated based on the surgical findings. Your surgeon will be in a better position to know what happened during your surgery

Avoid trauma: to the area.  Use petroleum based emollient topically and humidifier in your room.  If this does not help, see a doctor for more accurate diagnosis and proper treatment.  Certain medications and hereditary disorders can also predispose you to easy bleeding.

Yes: The vessels are remodeling all of the time. However if you are talking about a vessel that has an aneurysm or clogged with plaque then no they can not heal those lesions and a surgical correction is required.

Black and blue.: If a vein is damaged from trauma, usually you will see discoloration of the skin either immediately after the injury or several days later.  This occurs from blood escaping from the vein and leaking into the skin.  Initially this may be dark (black and blue) and over several days as the body absorbs the blood, the color changes to yellow and then resolves.
