is it normal for infant baby girls to have vaginal discharge? my 14 week 5 day old daughter let out a kinda loud cry and when i changed her diaper there was a little white discharge. is this normal especially with it being painful?

: NO. At that age any discharge suggests retained foreign material and or infection.

No data: I know of no reliable data from any source that could address this issue. Infant studies in the 60's came up with pattern duration variations with age/development but did not single out sex. I doubt you could find a way to get this funded &amp; published. Suffice it to say your kid probably cries more than you would like.

See her doctor: You are describing clinical depression.  She may need counseling.  She may need more.  Get help asap.   And good luck.

Certainly: Such an experience is a form of torture and one that is never forgotten in normal people. It can resurface during what should be pleasurable activities during sex, or just out of nowhere. The difference for some who become healthy survivors is learning with help to get past it. Those who remain victims have not accomplished that goal. You must do the work to get the benefit.

Lucky: Every baby is different, some cry alot and others not as much. I would not consider this abnormal. Be thankful for such a nice disposition of your baby.

Seek counselling: This could just be a symptom of unresolved sadness you have suppressed since early childhood. A few sessions with a therapist could help you understand the issue and get past the frustration. Being raised by parents who refused to acknowledge or validate normal childhood emotions can have this effect. There are other causes.The mind is complex ; life is to short to carry these burdens.

Reply: Formula intolerance may be a possibility but make sure you are preparing the formula as directed. Keep am eye on his weight gain that shows you if he is gaining enough calories.

Gender Reassignment: There are various degrees of gender reassignment.  She will not be able to inseminate you, nor will you be able to have a child of mixed genes between the two of you.  Outwardly she may appear to be a man but her genes will always be a woman's.  If she chooses to keep her female genital (vagina, uterus, ovaries)trans she too will be able to conceive, but again with a male sperm donor.

what to do when my 11mos.old babies turns blue when crying?

See your doctor: Many infants between 9 months and 3 years old will have breath holding spells where they turn "blue" and can faint from holding their breath. These spells occur in response to pain  or anger - always. Some kids will have some blueness around the lips (not the lips themselves) when crying and this can be normal. I would have my child seen to be sure it is a breath holding spell & nothing concerning.
