Petechia: Depends on your meaning of mild.  It is not uncommon for individuals on Aspirin to experience mild bruising, but petechia can indicate a platelet problem. You should see your regular physician to determine the cause.

Rare: Everyone is different but that is very rare to happen with either drug so I would look for other reasons than these medications.Less than 1/2 of 1% have reported this so not significant.

Possibly: If you have had a serious anaphylactic allergic reaction to aspirin, you should avoid all aspirin.  This type of allergic reaction involves hypotension, severe respiratory distress, swelling of the larynx, and usually requires intubation and epinephrine.

If you had a minor rash or stomach upset with aspirin, you could try the low-dose baby Aspirin dose, with food.

None: That i'm aware of.  I aggressively pursue Aspirin desensitization in my aspirin-allergic patients...It's highly effective.

Not usually...: 39 y/o says I'm on resuvastatin 10mg, valsartan 40mg ans aspirin 75mg do these cause erection problems. never had problems before statin or aspirin? Erection problems are not usually associated with any of these medications. Statin can cause muscle problems which could affect the penis being muscle also. So can alcohol &amp; other meds. Best to see the PCP/Male health management consults for review.

why is baby aspirin recommended for people with heart problems?

Prevention: Aspirin is a platelet inhibitor.  Platelets help to form clots.  If platelets do not stick to each other, there is less clot formation.  If on has clogged arteries to the heart muscle, and cholesterol deposits in the arteries, clots can form.  A clot in the heart arteries is what causes a heart attack.  If you are at risk, Aspirin will help to reduce the risk of clot and heart attack.  See pcp!
