is moxifloxacin a good antibiotic for use after a surgery?

Good-butnotnecessary: Some experts say the broad-spectrum coverage that Moxifloxacin can provide, makes it a good antibiotic for certain surgeries. However, it is this "broad" spectrum coverage that kills many of the good bacteria in the GI tract. Therefore, the risks of Moxifloxacin includes the development of c difficile colitis. Other antibiotics are actually preferred over Moxifloxacin based on national guidelines.

Surgical incisions: It is not necessary to apply antibiotic creams to a surgical incision that is healing well and without signs of infection.  Dressing changes as advised by your surgeon and cleansing with mild soap and water is usually all that is needed.  If the incision looks infected, you need to see your doctor; sometimes this requires a small procedure to clean the wound, +/- antibiiotics.

which antibiotic is best to treat hidradenitis suppurativa? should i get a culture? there can't be surgery due to severe haemophilia.

Hydradenitis: There is currently no known cure nor any consistently effective treatment. Antibiotics may be effective when there is secondary bacterial infection. See a good dermatologist and have a lengthy discussion about your options. Good luck and best wishes.

Shoulder injury: Ok to take antibiotic , You should make your surgeon aware that u r doing so  . Most antibiotics have no any inflammatory properties , i.e. They r two completely different classes of medications

Need evaluation: It is likely that the infection may have resolved. Other causes of pain may be considered include injury or arthritis

had ptergyium surgery 5 days ago.using antibiotic drops and prednisolone drops 4 times a day. eye is red and looks bloody . is this normal?

Yes: The conjunctiva, the tissue adjacent to the removed pterygium is highly sensitive and very reactive.  Your surgery has triggered this sensitivity and the eyes after this can be expected to be very red and sometimes bloody for several weeks but all should work out in the end.

recently hospitalized for sepsis after shoulder surgery. i have been off antibiotic for over a week and starting to feel tired and one ankle seems swollen. is this a sign sepsis is returning?

: Not typical signs for sepsis, but possible specifically in this context. A variety of other conditions remain likely, too and work up will be needed.

Azithromycin i: Azithromycin is a good alternative if you can't tolerate those two.
