Not unusual: This is what they call orthostatic hypotension. When you get up quickly, the blood flow to the brain diminishes momentarily and your body needs a little time to adjust to the new position to provide ample blood flow to your brain. You need to try to sit up slowly first and when your are sure there is no dizziness then stand up.

Get an evaluation.: Dizziness can be positional in such a case, and it is treatable.  However vertigo has many causes that need further examination to recommend treatment.

Doctor can evaluate: Chest pain in a guy in his mid-30's can be an emergency, depending on various details. Often, the ER doctor needs to evaluate. The doctor evaluates for asthma, heart problem, pneumothorax (collapsed lung), myocarditis, etc...  If it turns out to be rib cartilage pains (costochondritis) or heartburn (gastric reflux), that can be treated too. A heart attack would be  possible but unlikely at age 35.

WearAFootballHelmet: A lot of people your (i.e. our )age and above can get this.If you get up too quickly you get a little unsteady or dizzy, especially after sitting a long time,or getting out of bed.Some guys make it to the bathroom then faint right there in mid-stream.It can be made worse by dehydration and many different medications,even some herbs. So in the short run,get up slowly,sit first then stand.

Mental vs Physical: I would get checked out by a doctor to start with. The problem could be physical in nature. There could be a problem with you heart or your lungs or your ears or a combination of causes. I wonder your age and when it started? You need a physical examination after a careful history is taken. You may require some additional tests such as blood work. It's possible it's serious, so see to it soon.
