May have tenesmus ("dry heaves of the rectum")-urge to go, but not much to show for it.  Crohn's disease usually has diarrhea, but not always-depends on location and extent. May present with pain, fever, weight loss, lack of growth in kids. Crohn's can cause narrowing, strictures in bowel.

No: Diarrhea is not a sign of gallbladder disease. Diarrhea can occur in some patients after having the gallbladder surgically removed, due to excessive bile release into the intestines. Sometimes this is temporary and resolves in time. If diarrhea is persistent, it can usually be treated by taking Cholestyramine once or twice daily. You should see your doctor to rule out other potential causes.

Crohn's disease.: it is certainly possible to have Crohn's disease without diarrhea. It is an important diagnosis to pin down if present, especially because there are much better treatments to control it these days. If your gastroenterologist believes you should have a colonoscopy to rule this out, you should proceed as soon as you can. Good luck.

WBC in stools: WBC in stools could be due to the viral or bacterial infection of GI tract. These cells should clear once the diarrhea is resolved.

Check with your primary care doctor that you do not have inflammatory bowel disease or any other chronic condition. He may refer you to a gastroenterologist if he feels that consult is needed.

Hand, : Hand, foot, and mouth is a viral disease cause by coxsackievirus.  It often is accompanied by a rash and cold symptoms but the main symptoms are ulcers that can appear anywhere on the body.  In a 1 year old, the most likely location is in the mouth, especially on the tonsils and the back of the throat.  Typically the symptoms last about 4-5 days and treating the discomfort with tylenol (acetaminophen) or Ibuprofen is reasonable.  Also make sure you are encouraging fluids, even if the appetite is low because it hurts to swallow you want to make sure he is staying hydrated.

You&#x27;ll need to work with your doctor to arrive at a dose that works well for you, balancing out these processes in a positive way.  You&#x27;ll still need to avoid gluten.
