the white part of my eyes is yellowish/brownish. it always has been as far as i can remember, but now the discolouration is intensifying. so i'd like to know, is there any treatment for this?

It's time to see...: When the white part of one's eyes turn yellow, it's time to see her primary care doctor. An exam will be done, and blood tests done to look for hepatitis (liver disease). Some people get coloring of the whites of their eyes but do not have jaundice nor hepatitis, meaning the coloring is not from bile. It can be genetic or run in families. One's doctor can figure things out.

i have a yellowish discolouration underneath my breasts & where my bra sits as well as my pant lining. nowhere else & eyes are normal white? thanks.

Hmmmm...: Various thoughts about this. Discoloration in your panties suggests a vaginal discharge. Without additional symptoms of itching/irritation, can be entirely normal.  Yellowish discoloration under breasts would probably be simple combination or perspiration and slightly dirtier skin, i.e. harder to wash and keep clean. I would step up hygiene in these spots and not worry if no additional symptoms.

VERY UNLIKELY: since the "sclera" ("whites") of your eyes are the most SENSITIVE indicator of systemic jaundice!!

Discoloration: The discoloration can be improved by using virgin coconut oil. It may take 3-4 weeks to notice improvement

You dont really: This crusting generally comes from tears that pool while sleeping.  The tears accumulate more in a closed eye (and in babies drain less easily) and dry out and crust.  This is common in babies and is technically not a problem.  Wipe the crust with a warm washcloth in the morning and this will improve as the child ages.

No: They do a better job of shielding them from unwanted sun rays than plain sunglasses.

how do i remove my babys eye crust without hurting him?

Accepted Answer

Warm soft washcloth: It can be normal for babies to have some eye crust.  However if the whites of the eyes turn red or there seems to be pus coming from the eyes you should see your pediatrician.  To get rid of the crust a warm wet washcloth can do the trick.  Gently wipe the eyes when the baby is calm, such as during nursing.

i got oxiclean white revive in my eye accidentally. it burned a little but thats it. what should i do?

Get an eye exam: Flush your eye with water. Go to an urgent care/er/eye clinic to be seen. They might do additional flushes there, as well as check your vision and perform an eye exam including checking the  pH of the eye to make sure that no serious injury resulted from the chemical exposure.

is it true that once you're in your 20's, your vision doesn't get any worse? (your eye sight stabilizes)

Mostly true: As you grow through the teens, the power of eyeglasses  if you need them will progressively increase although at a slower rate. For most this process stops in the mid 20s and stabilizes for many years until other issues of middle age sight start to happen.  This is why most LASIK surgeons want you to wait until you are 23 or so prior to doing the surgery.

i rubbed my eye a lot and now half of my eye is kind of pink-ish, it doesnt hurt its just kind of pink. what can i do to get it to go away?

Do not rub: Leave your eye alone.  Clean with water with eye cup or splashing water in the eye. Avoid eye makeup until clears. Wear your glasses and avoid contact lens until eyes clear.
