Bruise: if you develop more bruising you may want to have a cbc done.  That is a blood test that looks at white cells, hemoglobin, and platelets.

Sprain/Strain: There are many potential causes of acute low back pain.  The most common are sprain/strain injuries.  Usually acute back pain will improve over 1-2 weeks with anti-inflammatories, gentle streching, and use of heat/ice.  If your pain does not improve or gets worse you should contact your physician.

: How long is this going  on? Was there trauma? injury? recent  infection? Fever, chills? N/V/ sore throat? I would have your child checked for strep and infectious disease (EBV) . Check CBC, sed rate CMP. and urine .Also consider MRI  or CT to evaluate  the pelvis /abdomen / lumbar spine  for bleeding/ pathology.  Would go to ER today.
