Nipple Discharge: This should be evaluated as soon as possible. It could be related to your cycles or medications, but it also could be something more serious.  I am a strong believer that breast discharges should not be ignored.  Please see your doctor right away.

Not a problem: Clear green discharge from the nipple is rarely a sign of a problem nor a sign of pregnancy. Some patients see milky white discharge from their nipples in early pregnancy but full, tender breast are a more common symptom of early pregnancy.

Benign: Clear liquid from the breast is called galactorrhea. Sometimes it is associated with irregular periods. It is from excess of the hormone that triggers milk production. It is probably ok to watch if no lump or pain in the breast. If periods become irregular there is treatment.

See below: Possible hormonal imbalance. What sort of discharge: milky, watery, bloody, mix? See gyn &/or endocrinologist for hormonal workup. Milky discharge suggests elevated prolactin levels (can be due to pituitary adenoma or to several drugs). See docs.

Stop squeezing!: The majority of nipple discharge is benign, meaning not related to cancer, especially if green or milky.  Unilateral and spontaneous is more concerning than bilateral or with squeezing.  First, get yourself examined by your physician or a breast surgeon.  If not suspicious on breast exam and possible imaging and not due to meds, then leave your breasts alone and stop squeezing!  It makes it worse!

Tests are accurate: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate and not affected by foods, herbs, common illnesses, sexually transmitted diseases, or medications. A correctly done urine test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon.

If period does: not start, then get a pregnancy test, positive see your doctor, if negative see your doctor for possible hormonal imbalances.
