what are the reason that during dilation and curretage the cervix wont open up? is that dangerous?

Unclear: It would be unusual for a cervix to be unable to be dilated during a d;c under anesthesia. Scarring from a prior surgical procedure or a congenital anomaly may contribute to this problem, but this is rare. If a surgeon has difficulty with the dilation it conceivably could increase risk of complications such as uterine perforation, trauma to the cervix, etc. I advise discussing w/ your gyn.

No: Check with your gynecologist, but the  surgical site  is  not yet healed and could cause infection.

Usually : Mostly the bleeding stops in a few days. If the bleeding is prolonged then have your doc check HCG levels and make sure that they are falling and that the tissue is all removed. Sometimes it takes longer, until the HCG levels are back to zero. Talk to your doc. Good luck.

Pupil: Because a part of the autonomic nervous system (sympathetic) , when stimulated, will caused two sets of muscles in your iris to change the diameter of the whole in the center (the pupil).

Dilation: Many drugs can cause pupil dilation.  Some include cocaine, amphetamines, and MDMA.  Additionally, some non-illicit/ recreational medications such as anticholinergics and antidepressents can cause dilation.

Yes: You can wear contacts when more than 5 minutes have passed since you had the dilating drops.

It Varies: Some women with an incompetent cervix feel only "fullness" & a mucousy discharge. More typical at term it's associated with both abd tightening or pressure, vaginal or rectal pressure, & recurrent labor-type pain. If unsure, see your OB & get checked, especially if you are less than 37 weeks. Take care.

Pupils dilate and: constrict under control of cranial nerve 2 and 3.  2nd senses light and 3d adjusts pupil to control light input. No dilation = deficit in one or the other or a medication in the eye has poisoned muscle function. Would be very unlikely to inadvertently notice that both pupils do not dilate. Close eyes in bright room then open while friend observes.  If they constrict they must have been dilated.
