i am studying in hostel and for a span of 6 months .i am facing indigestion. can i use digene tablet continuosly.or is there any side effects?

Pretty much: It's a common antacid and they can be used long term with minimal side effects but you should consult a physician if your use is escalating, you are experiencing severe abdominal pain.  There is always a concern of gastric ulcers.

i took azithromycin 1 gm for chlamydia but just after it i took 2 digene (acidity tablets), can i have to repeat the chlamydia course.

Azithromycin: Azithromycin should not be taken at the same time as aluminum- or magnesium- based antacids, such as mylanta or maalox because antacids will bind the Azithromycin and prevent it from being absorbed from the intestine.  Not sure what is in digene or whether you should repeat the course of treatment or go back to your doctor and be retested for chlamydia.

Maybe: Digene can decrease the absorption of the azithromycin.  If there was at least 2 hours between the two medications, you should be ok.  If there was less than 2 hours, you may need to repeat the azithromycin.

No: Neither of these should affect the zithromax you took.  Be sure that your partner gets checked too and don't have sex with him until you know he doesn't have chlamydia too.  Remember that only condoms will protect you from std's, and even those aren't 100% all the time.

Antacid?: It is safe to use an antacid, this med has nothing harmful for the baby, it's commonly prescribed.

Antacid: If you are referring to taking taking an antacid then yes that is fine. Antacids are commonly used in pregnancy.

Avoid: Digene contains simethicone, which should be avoided.  Try using Milk of Magnesia i.e magnesium hydroxide or famotidine instead.

Antacid: Heartburn is common in pregnancy. Digene is not available in the US and information online about what is contains seems to be limited. Ranitidine is commonly prescribed to prevent  this common issue. Tums and Maalox are available brands for immediate relief. Your local pharmacist in your country likely knows about that particular brand of Digene.

You might : The antacid decreases Azithromycin levels by 25%.  Check with prescribing doctor, and if you repeat the course, avoid antacids.
