: I do think it's likely that epidural corticosteroid injections would be even more effective. However, if you can get good relief that lasts weeks,I'd be inclined to stay with medrol dospak but not more often than every three months. In this way you'll obviate the invasive treatments of epidural injections. As always, your personal MD, who knows your condition should give you his/her recommendation

Less likely: Less likely caused by a fall, but certainly worsened by a fall.  Facet arthtitis is usually caused by disc space narrowing, allowing the facets joints inappropriate movement.  This causes secondary osteoarthritis of the facet joints.  Any fall would invovle multiple levels, so i believe unlikely.

They are behind the disk and vertebral bodies (biggest part of spinal bone). Arthropathy is degeneration, or wear & tear. It is sometimes called arthritis, but arthrosis is more accurate. It can be painful; it can also cause nerve pressure, that is leg pain.
