You're kidding ??.: Disability issues are determined on  a state by state basis. Such medical issues are common in early childhood & resolve as a kid grows older.Why a kid would be considered disabled because of routine childhood illness is a bit much to consider.

Chest discomfort: This is a nonspecific symptom which could be from tension or esophageal disorders. Lung or heart problems would have associated cough, shortness of breath or be precipitated or aggravated by  exertion. Reflux usually causes heartburn or sour eructations. You may benefit from stress management therapy. See your MD for better evaluation of this symptom persists.

Get treated: with omeprazole or the like.  It will not kill you in th short term but Barret's esophagus results in many years, it is associated with ca of esophagus sometimes

Difficulty: with swallowing in the presence of GERD is an indication for EGD with without video swallow .Older doctors may suggest a barium studies before EGD
