what's the difference between ultrasound and ct scan? can someone explain the difference between an ultrasound and a ct scan? i'm going to have both done on my abdomen because of pain and discomfort that i've been experiencing.

An : An ultrasound examination uses sound waves to generate an image of the anatomy being viewed. Ultrasound is excellent at evaluating the gallbladder and bile ducts. An ultrasound is the best way to detect gallstones which is a fairly common cause of abdominal pain. Ultrasound can also used to image the kidneys and liver. A ct scan utilizes a rotating x-ray beam to generate an image of the anatomy of concern. Ct is excellent at detecting kidney stones, bowel obstructions, pancreatitis, liver abnormalities, appendicitis, diverticulitis, irritated/inflamed bowel, and abdominal tumors; these are all possible causes of abdominal pain.

Chest and arm: The brain often perceives discomfort from the chest as also coming from the arm. Of course, more information about your symptoms is needed in order to make a differential diagnosis. i was experiencing minor discomfort in my right ear. i visited my doctor & had my ear cleaned with water. afterwards my ear felt the sensation of dullness. specificalist have said the hearing differences/sensation will go away but it hasn't. help?

: It is not feasible to provide an opinion without additional history, physical examination may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor to see if you may be depressed. Depression is treatable. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. i have tried nsaids .  was  previously on 800 mg ibuprofen  3x a day.  caused stomach issues.  was put on tramadol.  no  difference in pain despite taking it 4x a day.  have  been given cortisone shots .  helps with pain for approx 2 weeks, then back to pain and discomfort.   pain scale varies between 4 to 7 on daily basis depending on activity.   i need to lose weight but knee pain prevents me from vigirous exercise

Knee pain: First you need a diagnosis as to the cause of your knee pain. Patients can tolerate NSAIDs when taken with foods, but taking medications like omeprazole or famotidine may allow you to better tolerate them. As you found, intraarticular injections of corticosteroids offer short-lived relief.  If you haven't already done so, I recommend consulting an orthopedic specialist for diagnosis &amp; treatment.

One has domperidone: Pan D is a capsule containing 40 mg of Pantoprazole 40mg and 30 mg of Domperidone. Pan 40 contains only 40 mg of pantoprazole.
