Little difference: I don't believe the present of ascorbic acid or citric acid would make much difference on your skin aside from being a marketing ploy. Having said that, a mildly acidic lotion or soap is usually better for people with eczema vs mildly alkaline ones.

Alcohol : Is drying to the skin so you may itch or flake.  It's best to avoid facial products w/out alcohol.  Peace and good health.

One and the same: Ascorbic acid is the chemical name for vitamin c (just as pyridoxine is the chemical name of vit b6 etc.). Not exactly the same: Sodium ascorbate is one of the mineral salts contained in ascorbic acid/vitamin C.  It does not seem to be more bioavailable (available for use by the body) than other forms of vitamin C supplementation.  There is also the down side that it contains sodium.  I would discourage you from considering megadosing anything, including vitamin C. Stay well:)

Skin lighteners: Both acids can work as skin lighteners. However,I would see a dermatologist because you may overshoot the mark with these drugs

:   Oxalates are formed from oxalic acid and then gut gets rid of it and can also absorb it back depending on various factors. So oxalate can be absorbed into the circulation and move around in the body including the kidney combine with ca. to form stone.

Yes, definitely: Ascorbic acid (vitamin C)  is the major antioxidant. You can use drops, capsules or tablets  as a sublingual to be easily digested under the tongue.
