Combine or compare: To the best of my knowledge no studies have been performed in comparing the 2 in treatment of gout. Cataflam, one of the formulations of diclofenac may be advantageous as it has a fast onset. In my experience, a short term course of oral naprosyn (naproxen) along with topical diclofenac (volraren) works better.

Alternate w/Tylenol: Take naproxen and if not effective after a couple hours, take Tylenol (acetaminophen). Using naproxen and  diclofenac after two hours will increase the risk of stomach irritation.

Both: Both medications can be effective for neck pain.  Trying each one separately for a few days would better help you chose which one to take.

Naproxen v Voltaren (diclofenac): That's like asking if Batman is better than Superman! Both Naproxen &amp; Voltaren (diclofenac) are NSAIDs. For that matter, so is Ibuprofen. It's just that Naproxen &amp; Ibuprofen are available w/o prescription in States whereas Voltaren (diclofenac) requires prescription. Because they're all NSAIDs, they function exactly the same. Why injection????: This is one of several nsaids. They are generally used orally & most are otc. There are always risks including allergy & stomach bleeding. They are popular because most people tolerate them & they are effective for several things., including menstrual cramps.

Diclofenac sodium: should not affect your menses as that is not one of the usual side effects.

: Diclofenac should be cleared out the system after 3 days but the allergic reaction which was initiated by the drug will take more time to resolve.
