Maybe IBS?: Irritable bowel syndrome (ibs) is a condition associated with abdominal discomfort, altered stool pattern, ; among others accompanying nausea, bloating, gasiness. Often improved by stooling, ibs is defined by changes in perception of gut distension, motility, sensation. Diet ; emotional stress may contribute. Ibs is a diagnosis of exclusion--first rule out inflammation, ischemia, infection,  etc.

Need more info...: Diarrhea & gas neither localize your problem to the small or large bowel, nor indicate severity or cause. You have described a gut that is dysfunctional--but is this due to infection, motility problems, inflammation, ibs, ischemic disease, maldigestion, etc.? How long have your symptoms lasted, is there accompanying fever, bleeding, vomiting, tenderness?  Please see doctor for evaluation/treatment.

Diarrhea : Diarrhea that lasts for more than a few days must be considered due to a infectious parasite. 
Campers, hikers and people to who come incontact with fresh water can be exposed to numerous parasites due to animals drinking the same water.
I would suggest you see a physician for a stool culture and ova and parasite study. This won't get better without proper treatment.

It can be in some: Yes. There are some very serious irreversible side effects to entonox gas. Using it repeatedly increases this risk . Armenia and Nerve Injury can be some of the more SERIOUS long term side effects from chronic use of entonox gas. Diarrhea can be common in some people after enetric  use.  If you aren't using it repeatedly then you should be fine with regard to long term sides effects

Tests and exam: Possible inflammation of bowel irritating bladder or vice versa. Needs evaluation of urine and stool to rule out infection versus some other source of inflammation. Try yogurt or bananas for diarrhea but still seek evaluation.

One of the first: things we think of with foul smelling flatus is malabsorption: gluten sensitivity, inflammatory bowel disease, carb/lactose intolerance, food allergies.But the cyclic nature of your problem suggests persistent infection to me...? giardia. I would consult with my doctor and consider stool cultures for parasites/bacteria.Other thoughts: chronic pancreatitis, high dose vitamins/supplements. Good luck

See MD: CDC website on travel to Jordan recommends hepatitis vaccines. Typhoid which is caused by salmonella food poisoning also a possibility. Were you an adventurous eater? See a gastroenterologist for stool cultures  &amp; test for ova and parasites. Stay hydrated diarrhea after travel mostly supportive care with antibiotics for severe pain or blood in stool. Good luck.
