Major depressive episode consists of 4 of the following symptoms lasting greater than two weeks: depressed mood, changes in sleep, lower energy, poor concentration, changes in appetite, feelings of too much guilt, inability to enjoy, moving slower or too fast, racing thoughts, and suicidal thoughts.

If you have the majority of these symptoms you may be depressed.  If you have suicidal thoughts you should seek medical help immediately.

OCD &amp; depression: Depression and  OCD can be concurrent.  Sometimes a person with Depression may have an increase in obsessive  or compulsive behaviors as a symptom.

Hmmm: Could be.  But, the main symptoms of depression are sadness & inability to enjoy life, which you did not describe.  Sounds more like you are disappointed in people and that has made you mad &  bitter.  Freud once said something like ... It is not surprising that people act like animals (since we are animals).  It's surprising when we don't (i.e., when we are civilized, kind & generous).

Best bet would be to consult a psychiatrist for thorough evaluation.
