Check it: Initially warm soaks can help bring blood to the area but this large "zit" may represent an infection or abscess in your leg. I would have it checked by a physician and see if drainage and antibiotic are in order

May need antibiotics: Little red dots that look like acne, occurring on the chest, can be acne if the person usually has chest acne. If the person usually has no rash there, then the spots are more likely infected skin pores, oil glands, hair follicles, etc...  If quite mild, over-the-counter antibiotic (like neosporin) cream can be tried. If the rash is big and/or growing, the a doctor may use stronger antibiotics.

Limited: Your dermatologist will determine length of treatment based on your response. It is not a med you remain on long term.

Need exam: Your sore needs to be looked at by your primary care doctor or dermatologist to determine if the spreading redness is due to infection or an allergic reaction to your antibiotic cream.

help! i have bad eczema but all my eczema products like desonide and elidel that my old derm gave me cause me to breakout and get lots of cystic pimples and even some whiteheads. if i try to treat the breakouts with acne stuff it dries out my skin?

: May be you should try salicylic acid containing product like few face wash and toners. Have you used any antibiotics like doxycycline? Also can try natural products like glycerine and rose water for dry skin and orange peel and turmeric for oily. Hope it helps.

is desonide 0.05% cream safe to apply on chin for eczema? how long is considered safe? any different from lotion form? which is better?

Desonide: Fluorinated steroids are not good to use on the face because of their strength and resultant side effects.  However desonide is not a fluorinated steroid and is low potency.  It is safe to use but all medicines have side effects so the least effective amount for the shortest time is best.  All treatment is a balance between the good effects of treatment and the adverse effects of treatment.
