Generally not: I am not a dermatologist, but the reason to avoid mixing them is not a medical one so much as a chemical one.  Different products use different stabilizers and binder to keep ingredients in a suspension (cream, ointment or gel form), and mixing products especially by different brands is likely to cause separation of the products into layers or cause curdling.   which would hinder absorption.

If you're worried about skin cancer you should ask for a full body skin exam where you are checked from head to foot, looking for any suspicious lesions. If there is a suspicious lesion then a biopsy may be recommended. Describe the problem, give history, have an exam, recommendations will be made.
