2 ways: It is for home use and can be used either of 2 ways. You can use it once a week with a numbing gel or up to 5 out of 7 days very lightly with out. Be sure you clean it well between uses to decrease the risk of infection which is the main side-effect and be careful about anything else you use on your skin. Hope this helps.

Both: Both are great treatments in the right hands.  Only go to a dermatologist with a lot of experience, not just any laser or salon that does these treatments.  It can be horrific if performed in the wrong hands.

It is not conclusive though some evidence suggests it may help. But note you are piercing the skin and there is risk of infection especially since beards are not as easy to clean as skin. Wash well before the procedure. Do not use if you have acne or skin infection. Follow up w/ dermatology.

Depends: Dermarollers at home should be used cautiously as strict sterility should be maintained to avoid infections . Typically they are not painful because of limited depth.  When used in a medical office, we use only single use items to avoid cross contamination.  The items sold on the internet are very shallow and will not produce any significant skin changes.
