what is a dense 8mm left lower nodule of the lung? dense nodular opacity in the left lower lobe is likely a calcified granuloma.  what does that mean to me?

If : If it is truly calcified, then it means you have nothing to worry about. A granuloma is an area of inflammation or low-grade infection.  Once the infection or inflammation has resolved, it sometimes leaves behind some calcium, which on a chest xray is very dense (white). Calcified granulomas are not uncommon, especially among people who live in certain parts of the country where granuloma-forming organisms are found.

1,5 cm nodule found in left breast. doc wants extract for biopsy. believes it;s benign. says amongst multiple nodules in the area believed to be benign as well. what's your opinion? no breast cancer in family. please explain nodule. vry dense breasts?

: The doctor who examined you is in a better position to advice you than is feasible in this forum. Talk to him about getting needle biopsy rather than an open one. A skilled radiologist can remove most of a small node with image guided procedure without the need for open surgery.

Need photo to help: is this single or multiple nodules? where is it located on body? any itching or sign of infection with redness or pus? would be very helpful to see this nodule for more information and assistance regarding treatment and f/u. Any relation to trauma or insect bite? any pain or sensitivity. Also how large is this nodule.  Difficult to give advice/treatment without seeing it and having more history

Bone nodule: You know worrying never solves anything.  Your doctor is concerned enough that they want to biopsy this nodule.  So soon you will know what it is.  With knowledge comes action.  Then your doctors will have a plan, you will be able to discuss with them what the plan entails and you will be able to prepare instead of worrying. I hope everything turns out well.

i have a 2.5cm and a 1.5cm solid hypoechoic heterogeneous nodule.  wouldn't the largest one be dominant?  neither hot or cold. appt in 6mths concerned

Neurologist: These sound like nonfunctioning thyroid nodules. Usually more than one nodule indicates benign ones, but the rheumatologist is best qualified to advise and follow you and decide if and when needle biopsies are indicated.

Go for FNA: I hope you are talking about thyroid nodule. Hypoechoic or hyperechoic   how sound wave is reflecting in  thyroid tissue. Hypoechoic will have higher incidence of cancer you should have simple painless  fine needle aspiration biopsy. Even if  it is ca highly curable especially young age.Do not worry and go for it I am sure your doctor already advised  you.

could you tell me what happens if my multiple thyroid solid nodules unremoved?

Multinodular goiter: If you have multiple thyroid nodules, you first need to determine if thyroid cancer. This can be done with a careful ultrasound and needle biopsies.  If this is negative, and the gland is not obstructing anything, you may need no other treatment other than to have it reevaluated periodically. If you decide on surgery, chose a surgeon who does this a lot and has a good record.

Not likely: If it is solid and solitary, it is probably a neoplasm, most likely an adenoma.  But it could also be cancer, so have it checked out.  Even if it is, most thyroid cancers have excellent prognosis with surgical treatment alone.
