Metamucil body wt.: Not really, Metamucil has no role as a weight loss agent.It is prescribed to make a bulk in the stool so you dont get constipation.

No: Metamucil in is a bulk laxative. The only concern is the absorption of medicines with it. Take meds 2 hours apart from metamucil.
