At 57 there are lots of possible connections between the symptoms you mention. You could be pre menopausal, you might be working and not drinking enough fluids, which can often cause headache, and the night sweating could actually be a more serious sign. Body water can be lost through excessive urination, vomiting, diarrhea, sweating and increased body temperature. A variety of conditions can cause a total body water deficit and excessive thirst. But the two primary ones are dehydration and diabetes.  Because you have provided an incomplete picture of your condition it is difficult to make a diagnosis.  For that reason it is recommended that you see your physician for and evaluation and possibly lab testing.

Depends: There is a condition where the kidneys don't recycle (hold on to ) water as they clean the blood. A doc could confirm or exclude this. In the normal person, thirst &amp; drinking can be driven by need or habit. If you drink more, you hold on to less water and need to replenish it more often. Your definition of overhydrating may or may not match your lab tests. All is speculation until you do the tests
