Bypass: Extracorporeal circulation is just a fancy name for bypass.  It's diversion of blood flow through a circuit located outside the body but continuous with the body's circulation.  Most commonly used in heart surgery.

Out of the body circ: Extra corporeal circulation means exactly what it's latin root mean.  Blood is flowing outside the body and put back.  This most commonly done for thoracic surgery on the heart.

Depends: This is a gernalized term and usually indicates poor arterial perfusion to an extremity.  However, in my experience, docs also use it to indicate venous problems as well.

Accepted Answer

Signal Void Brain: On mri, in certain sequences there should be a lack of signal (ie. A black appearance) within the blood vessels. This normal appearance suggests that blood is flowing normally within these blood vessels. If there is a lack of signal void, this could suggest either abnormal blood flow or a complete lack of blood flow. This is abnormal and is concerning. Oftentimes this is associated with a stroke.

Prevent it first!: That having been said, i don't know what part of your body has poor circulation: hands, feet?  If it is legs, exercise (regular cardio-type is best) is most important.  If general poor circulation, you may need to r/o several medical conditions with many inbetween, from low thyroid, to anticardiolipin antibodies.  Good exam is most important!

Atherosclerosis, etc: Atherosclerosis, diabetes, blood clotting disorders, and obesity, among other things can and often do result in poor circulation.  Inactivity and poor conditioning can also cause this, even with good health, so best to get outside, enjoy some clean air, and, at least, do some waliking.

Accessory pathways: Collateral circulation is a term used to describe alternative pathways of blood flow that become prominent when a main vessel is blocked. These smaller vessels exist in everyone but are usually very small if the normal pathway is open. Some areas of the body have more secondary branches to provide collateral circulation than others.

Depends: Depends if means venous or arterial issue.  If pad, controlling risk factors such as hypertension, increase cholesterol, weight management, improved diet.  Excercise is beneficial.
