i have been noticing dark green veins on my chest and arms i can actually ser them get darker it's been going on for about a week or two what u think?

Since I can't see : You, i think it is best you see your doctor for proper evaluation i don't know why the first thing that came to mind was superior vena cava syndrome, that is the big vessel that returns blood to the heart is obstructed. Also you are now 43, and i don't know your history or family history, liver problem has to be considered or event the breast. You need a good exam and work up.

See your doctor.: This symptom may indicate something underneath the skin.  You may need repeat biopsy.

Likely not: Because there's up to 50% more blood circulating in your vessels this late in pregnancy most of the veins under your skin will be a lot more prominent.  Sometimes the veins in your hands, or chest or legs can pop out.  If the veins in the legs not only pop out but are twice or more as wide as usual you could also have varicose veins, also common in pregnancy.

Normal finding: I am amazed about how often I have women ask me about the veins on their breast.  Occasionally they are spider veins but mostly they are blue veins.  These are almost always normal findings and normal variations of chest veins.  They tend to be more pronounced in fair skinned females and they may be related to hereditary factors or even pregnancies.  No treatment is necessary unless for cosmetics.

See doctor: Breasts can be very lumpy and sometimes the cystic changes are painful.  Usually painful lumps are not worriesome.  I would try taking some ibuprofen and evening primrose oil.  Make an appointment to see your doctor in the next 1-2 weeks.

No: Most women with large breasts have large veins. Plastic surgeons are very comfortable dealing with this.

: If you have no family history of breast cancer, the non symmetrical growth of one breast is probably due to increased estrogen receptors in the larger breast, or fibrocystic disease in the larger breast, both of which are benign causes.  See your gyn provider for an exam and possible digital mammography if he/she feels it indicated.

No , just watch if .: Watch if it changes. There is no significance to an enlarged vein unless there is a nearby growth or tumor. Just look around for anything obvious. I doubt if you will find anything as its cause, unless you develop any new symptoms in the future in which case a physical examination should be done with a physician.

Chest pain: Your symptoms would require that you see your doctor for an examination to help you with this problem.
