i recently found a small flat dark spot on my labia minora, it kind of looks like a freckle, but i haven't notice before so i'm a little worried?

See a doctor: It's likely a benign nevus (mole) but pre-cancer and cancer can occur on the labia. It's always better to be safe than sorry, so i would recommend you see a doctor and have it checked out.  You're only 20, so chances are slim, but melanoma is increasingly occuring in younger and younger women. Be safe.

Small spots: This could be from trauma from intercourse or it could be small capillaries that are dilated. This is a very common finding.  The labia is skin, remember, and a number of other dermatologic conditions can also occur there.

See below: If you are sexually active, it may be a wart. It would be prudent to see your doctor as it is not feasible to know what the lesion is without examining it.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

Probably not: Probably not dangerous.  Genital swelling is normal during sexual arousal.  See you doctor if either persists.

i have had >20 raised yellow painless bumps on the inside of my labia majorus just above the clitoris for years, though they change in number and size. some seem to have a tiny dark spot. age 21, never been sexually active. is this cause for concern?

More likely not: Given you have not been sexually active this does not seem to appear as if human papilloma virus more than likely these are just normal vaginal bumps around you clitoral area.. I do suggest that you get seen and evaluated by an OB/GYN.

What you describes certainly sounds like a blood blister.  When blood is exposed to air then it appears darker.  This is why the spot looks purple then begins to lighten.  Yes, it seems from your excellent description that it is healing quite normally.
