hi i have rash for 2 weeks now but since i start using cortizone.10 the itchy feeling decrease dramatically but i still have redness and dark spots in my arms and torso . don't know what do ? i don't know what to do ?  i'm afraid of hospitals. thank you i

See doctor: First see your doctor to find out if he can help you or refer you to someone who can. One does not usually go to a hospital for a skin rash.

Difficult to answer: Attempting to diagnose & then properly treat rashes "over the phone" or without actually inspecting is usually ill-advised. Nonetheless, based on my experience of nearly 30 years of office-based pediatrics, rashes that most frequent the elbow area include: atopic dermatitis, eczema, tinea(ringworm), abrasions, contusions, & contact dermatitis(poison ivy). So, therapy remains unclear w/o more info.

i have a rash under both arms that just follows along the crease. dark red, bumpy, blistered, mildly painful, no itching. what could this be? thanks!

A few thoughts..: We are prone to developing fungal and bacterial infections in places that are moist and rub together - the groin, armpits, etc.  Shaving and deodorant can inflame the skin more. Your doc might take a culture to see if a bacteria is present and might start antibiotics or antifungal medications.  Your doc might also suggest keeping the area dry and avoid shaving while rash is healing.  Best of luck!

Maybe Viral: Not all rashes itch.

Many viral infections cause flat rashes that don't itch.
I assume this is acute? Over the course of a few days...

If you're having fever, headaches, body aches, or swollen lymph nodes go and see a doctor.

Need to be seen: It appears to be hypersensitivity rashes. But things like folliculitis need to be ruled out. Need to be seen by a dermatologist.

Hives: You probably have hives (urticarial) and skin condition is called a wheal and flare.  Treatment with antihistamines like Benadryl (diphenhydramine)  often help with this.

Exercise? : Have you started exercising? Lifting any weight?  Do you recall any trauma? It seems your muscle is sore. Try hot/cold pack, Motrin if not better see a provider.

Causes...: Of itching without rash include medicines, foods, dust, pollen, and stress. It could also be an allergic reaction to something that contacted your skin and hasn't yet formed a rash (although any rash would probably have appeared by now). But it could also be a sign of an underlying internal problem, so if it doesn't respond to a good antihistamine like Allegra or claritin, (loratadine) see your doctor.
