Depends on cause: Aphthous stomatitis involving the common canker sore can occur in up to 15% of americans, and may involve some bacteria like staph epidermidis. However, similar-appearing aphthous ulcers can be seen with herpes, crohn's disease, and other systemic disorders, if you have multiple aphthous ulcers or frequently recurring ones please have the lesions checked out.

Leave it alone: This may be a small hemagiona. It can be treated if  you want it off, but you will need professional care. See a derm doc if you want it off.

Cheilitis: First make sure you are not on a fad diet that depletes nutrients and vitamins.  Cheilitis (lips) and glossitis (tongue) are classic for vitamin deficiency.  Take daily multivitamins and supplemental vitamin C 1000mg per day.  Apply moisturizing lip balm.  If these measures fail, go see a dermatologist.

Uncertain: Cold sores are painful liquid filled blisters that can occur on the lips, roof of the mouth or the gums which are usually caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV-1). Tingling &amp;/or pain can herald the oncoming of cold sore 1 to 2 days prior to eruption.

Ointment: It sounds like you may have some mild burns from the hair removal laser.  Any cracks or blisters should be covered with antibiotic ointment and kept clean.  Avoid any sun exposure until you are cleared by your treating physician to reduce any damage.  The face usually recovers very quickly from this type of treatment.

had impetigo and used mupirocin2% three weeks ago. left with redness and lower lip is itchy but no signs of blisters. is it back?

Maybe not: If the redness is a little less (improving) each day, it may be "post-inflammatory" redness that gradually goes away after the impetigo heals. If crusting or oozing returns, then the doctor can look to see if the infection has returned. Many people get blisters on a lip that are cold sores, instead of impetigo. Cold sores are caused by viruses (mupirocin doesn't work on those viruses).

Oral herpes: Hi, if the blister is completely crusted then there is no risk of being contagious anymore.
