Dermatographism: Dermatographism means the ability to write on the skin. People with this form of chronic urticaria are sensitive to touch and pressure, as well as scratching. The areas of skin that are touched or scratched get a raised, red and itchy rash. While many people with chronic urticaria have  features of dermatographism, people with true dermatographism have only pressure as the cause. Try antihistamine.

Eczema: Could be a condition called eczema.  If it bleeds after you scratch it could be psoriasis especially if you notice white scaly skin.  Try over the counter cortisone cream to see it helps.  If not, you might need to sees dermatologist to get the correct diagnosis and proper treatment setup.

Lubricate: High doses of marine fish oil and/or coconut oil can help lubricate from the inside, not just outside.  Please avoid lotions w/alcohol in them because they are drying.  Winter is high season for dry skin.  Check with a dermatologist for a diagnosis.  Peace and good health.

It may get better!: Very itchy and dry skin is part of eczema presentation. If the rashes are present, especially in area of irritation and scratching a rash like scar can appear. After intense treatment by a physician, the rash can go away.

Dry skin?: Try unscented soap and application of moisturizer 2x daily with one &lt;3 minutes after bathing to see if this helps. Dry skin is by far the most common cause for itching without any rash.

Could be fungal: infection, keep the area dry, change underwear often, use separate towels to dry the groin, can use OTC anti fungal cream, if that doesn't work, see your doctor, good luck
