Newborn poop: A 2 month old will have loose stools depending on whether they are breast or bottle fed.  Normally yellow loose (looks like mustard or posse cottage cheese) can be normal.  Some babies are sensitive to what the mother eats if she is breastfeeding and you can try eliminating dairy etc but i would
sto[ formula feeds and try exclusively breast feeding to see if it improves.

if you have some stomach sensitivity that may be caused by dairy  and it doesn't get treated or you keep taking dairy is this harmful to the body?

Depends: Not eating dairy will not cause any harm.  You may have to figure out how to obtain adequate amounts of calcium from other sources.  Constantly taking dairy may cause diarrhea and you can lose nutrition due to frequent diarrhea.  I would recommend that you be formally evaluated by a physician before determining cause of stomach sensitivity as there are other diseases which can mimic symptoms.

Lactose intolerance: In general, it takes some time (15-30 minutes at least) for the diarrhea, loose bowel movement, bloating, and flatus (alone or in combination) to develop. Here is a video that explains lactose intolerance that should help you.

i have a food sensitivity to casein and gluten so i dont eat gluten or dairy. i seem to have excessive flatulents especially at night. i take probiotics too. ?

Basics : Your gas is a combination of air you swallow during feeds and that created when gut germs digest nutrients you do not absorb. A food diary may help you spot other foods you consume that may feed the gas producing germs so you could avoid them.

Accepted Answer

Dairy: You may be sensitive to dairy.  Your doc or a natural doc can order a food sensitivity lab test (great plains lab).  Even if not allergic or full blown you may be sensitive and need to avoid/replace certain foods.  The standard tests the doc gives may not be sensitive enough.  Peace and good health.

Probiotics: probiotics are not yet studied well enough to recommend routine usage. Except for particular circumstances, such as infection with C. Difficile, the studies that have been done have not shown any benefit in healthy individuals. I would not recommend them yet unless you have been advised by your physician that you should give them a try. Good luck.

i have a dairy sensitivity otherwise controlled with lactase pills. now when i eat cheese (excluding swiss) i instantly feel like i've ingested poison (nausea/metallic taste in mouth/feeling faint). what on earth could be going on? will speak w/pcp?

: Cheese is a very concentrated milk product and can cause those symptoms despite lactase pills. By all means speak to your PCP. Hope you do well

In water for 9 mos: A baby will commonly peel the outer layer of loose skin after floating in the bag of waters for 9 months, which sucks all the natural skin oils out of their pores. It's temporary. If you don't wash baby too often, their natural skin oils will give them soft skin within weeks.

what is the rationale for injecting vitamin k to newborn`s thigh?

Stop bleeding: Newborns do not have adequate vitamin k at birth which is necessary for proper clotting of the blood.  This injection serves as a prophylactic against bleeding episodes of the newborn.
