Should see doc asap: It is possible that you have diarrhea-predominant ibs (irritable bowel syndrome), but have some other common symptoms to ibs include bloating, gasiness, frequent/urge to have bm, early satiety, dyspepsia symptoms etc... Without further detail, i can't be for sure. Nevertheless, being 47 and your symptoms = 1yr, i strongly recommend seeing doc at your earliest convenience..

No.: Although everyone's definition of diarrhea may vary somewhat, having diarrhea on a daily basis would be definitely abnormal.  Please make an appointment to see your primary care physician or a gastroenterologist.

Multiple etiologies!: Consult Ur Family MD or Gastroenterologist. 
It could be your diet. You may want to restrict fat or food additives in your diet, or U could have some simple condition like Irritable bowel syndrome to serious conditions like Tropical Sprue or chronic pancreatitis.etc. U may want to try more Fiber in the diet(25-30gm/day). Try "Optifber or Benefiber"

is it normal to have daily diarrhea after hiatal hernia surgery and on a pureed diet?

Not normal.: C.difficile enterocolitis is a possibility. Often  peri-operative antibiotics adversely affect the bacterial content of the colon resulting in an overgrowth of a bug called clostridium difficile. This causes inflammationc of the colon lining with resultant severe diarrhea. Stool culture is needed to make confirm the diagnosis. But if diagnostic tests are positive, vancomycin and/or Flagyl is used.

It depends on what: you mean by diarrhea (true diarrhea is multiple loose, watery stools as opposed to just loose stool once/day). If it is true diarrhea, she may need stool cultures to rule out a parasitic or bacterial infection. Any fever? blood in stool?vomiting?history of travel?changes in diet?The rash may be part of a viral infection, reaction to food, or unrelated.Please discuss with her doctor.

May be viral illness: Tummy cramps may be partly due to menstruation , but other symptoms -headache diarrhea and fever suggest more like  viral infection . Watch for 1-2 days if still having symptoms then see doctor .May take pain killer for headache and cramps .

i am on 60mg cymbalta (duloxetine) daily the diarrhea side effect has been constant for the three months being on this medication.  how common is this? stop abupt?

Do Not Stop Abruptly: You need to call prescriber of your Cymbalta (duloxetine) and let them know.  Cymbalta (duloxetine) can actually cause constipation too so it may not even be what is causing the diarrhea - which could be from a number of other things.  Either way, stopping Cymbalta (duloxetine) abruptly is usually not advised unless another similar medication is being substituted.

worry/anxiety causing daily horrid diarrhea not actually ibs? diarrhea is every a.m sometimes starting late evening then fine by 9-10a.m.

Need more info: Your past medical history is important. Also need to know if you have been out of the country. There are so many illnesses that cause these symptoms I would suggest that you make an appointment with your family physician ASAP.
