2nd generation: antihistamines are best, because they do not increase sedation, and don't have major interactions or effects on sedation.  They are all pretty much OTC these days as well.  The best, in my experience, is Loratadine (Claritin).  Unless you have severe congestion, I would avoid the Claritin-D or pseudephedrine (Sudafed), since it likely will give a false positive amphetamine test on urinalysis.

my sister uses drugs, she has been to treatment numerous times, shes been in therapy every week for four years. but she still uses daily. i know she wants to get sober nobody wants to be an addict. what should she do?

: Besides committing to different therapeutic programs (individual and group counseling in addition to pharmaceutical therapy), she should move out of her current environment which makes drug access is much harder and she can escape the routine interaction.

drs can i take any ssri tablet just before sexual intercorse for premature ejaculation? or i should start daily treatment? what is tge best drug

Regular dosing: For this purpose, you would likely need regular dosing -- not only just before intercourse.  Work with your physician to select an ssri that's appropriate for you.

i have hsv-2 and i'm in daily valtrex (valacyclovir) therapy, can i use steroids (wistrol)? does it have any interaction with the disease or medication?

Anabolic steroids: These are not likely to have interactions with valacyclovir or your hsv infection, but you should double check with your pharmacist who has access to up to date computer records of interactions. You should also strongly reconsider the reasons for taking these.

i  take 500 mg of valacyclovir a day for daily suppressive therapy but the drug is very expensive. would switching to 200 mg of acyclovir be possible?

i repress emotion and continue to hurt my loved ones. what treatment options are available to me without insurance? do i need to be on medication?

Accepted Answer

Repression: You should always start with an evaluation and counseling as forms of treatment. You may have some inner childhood experiences that might be making you repress. Medication should only be a last resort and I am pretty sure there is no medication that can help you unless some psychiatric pathology is found.

Porphyria: Group of inherited disorders affecting enzymes in production of heme. High carbohydrate diet or infusion of 10% glucose during crises.  Hematin and heme arginate are choice drugs for acute event. Consult hematologist for optimal solutions.

Leucorrhea: Tetracycline, metronidazole, azithromycin, tinidazole have been prescribed for specific infections that may be present as a result of medical (diabetes)l or hygienic issues. That said, many causes are non-bacterial (hormonal, minor blood loss, wounds, irregular bowel function) & suggested home remedies abound on the web. Consider speaking with an md. Dr. or ER can help: Too many symptoms and details to try to guess the possibilities on a public forum, but for a guy in his late 60's, there is a low threshold for seeing a doctor. If one cannot reach one's primary care doctor on the phone for advice now, the ER would be a wise place to go get examined... to check out the severe headache, rapid heart rate, changes in vision, etc...
