Inflam/infection: Wbc casts in urine (clustering/clumping of white blood cells) often suggest some inflammatory process from your kidneys and/or bladder. Simple urinary tract infections can also do that...Check with your doc who ordered it...

Likely looking at: Your kidney function specifically at the amount of protein you are spilling.  I also suspect that this is a contaminated specimen and the doctor wants a clean catch.

Clean Catch Urine: If you are uncircumcised, this could be a contamination.  From the phrasing of your question i take it you are not experiencing any urinary symptoms.  A culture could be done.
If you're circumcised or you are having urinary problems, then the findings should be considered real and a urine culture obtained. Infection would possible; kidney stones, prostatitis or urethritis would be more likely.

Yes: Chemical cystitis, or other sorts of cystitis , drink more clear fluids until seen by your doctor / urologist, good luck

i've interstitial  cystitis. it has gotten worse with searing pain. urinalysis revealed elevated nitrates, but no bacteria grew. what could this be?

Treat bladder: Nitites are a sign of infection, i would treat despite the culture.  I place patients an a seratonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, like cymbalta, (duloxetine) to help with ascending pain signals.  It works well but nitrites mean u likely have n infection, cultures can be wrong.  Look it up and inform the doc.

can intercourse cause an increase in microscopic hematuria the following day?  hx of interstitial cystitis.  have trace to small in urine most of time except 1st morning urines are normally negative.  today have small to moderate.  no wbcs or nitrate?

Yes: Intercourse can lead to microscopic tears that would result in the microscopic haematuria. repeat the test at another time and investigate if it persists

Antibiotics and : Correction of anatomic defects, if any. You have apparently been or are being treated with antibiotics. If the infection persists despite a full course of antibiotics, it would be time to consult a urologist for more investigation. Pus cell can be present in patients with non-infectious cystitis.
