Sounds: like a "left over" partially calcified lymph gland from a prior "Swimmer's Ear" infection ("External Otitis")

It can be frozen (cryosurgery), removed with an instrument followed by bone grafting (curettage), injected with steroids, treated by drilling holes into it, or sometimes radiated.  The age of the patient and the location and size of the bone cyst are taken into account.

A person can have multiple cyst in different bones- but it is not because they are "spreading".
