Exposure?: It is difficult to tell over the internet and without a picture.  Bumps on your inner thighs and armpits can mean many things.  Common causes may be a new soap, detergent or deodorant.  If you have concerns see a doctor in person for an evaluation.

Hard bump?: Herpes 1 or Herpes 2 does not cause a hard, cyst-like bump in the skin. Herpes skin lesions are a group of little blisters, about 1/32 to 1/16 of an inch in size. They are fragile, so their tops break open in 1-2 days. Then they crust over and look like one crust (because they are grouped close together). Herpes skin lesions do hurt, but the amount of tenderness varies among patients.

Could: Be an infected lymph node or an indirect hernia.  If persists, have it checked.

Bartholin's cyst?: Sounds like you might have a bartholin's cyst.  These are extremely common and if they become painful need to be see by your doctor.

Hard to say: This could be a cyst; or a fibroma/lipoma.  However; without visualizing it or palpating it it is difficult to say.  Best advice is to go to your doctor and have him examine you; this way you can get a definitive answer.

Need an exam: There are a lot of possibilities.  It could be an ingrown hair, hydradenitis, a boil or many other things.  You need an exam to find out what it is.  Best wishes!

sounds like it could be a cyst, or a lymph node. A quick look by an experienced practitioner (gyn or maybe even GP) could set your mind at ease. But as long as it isnt steadily growing, probably OK to watch and wait.  Good luck.

: Assuming it is still present it's more than time that you had it examined. See your GP or a specialist Dermatologist.
