Keeping the wound covered with dressing changes every other day,  keeping the injured area at rest,  and good nutrition will all promote healing.   Avoid unneeded antibiotics unless infected, avoid medicines that slow down healing like Motrin or advil (ibuprofen)  and protecting your wound will maximize healing.

All Good: Wound healing is a complicated process that requires many factors including building blocks (proteins) and fuel (fats and carbohydrates) as well as cofactors (vitamins and minerals).  Immunity is based on other cells but require almost the same basic components but put together.  These are interrelated and work together always.  "fast" healing means that your body has it's act together.

If just a crack...: If the cut is tiny, just a crack in the lip, then many people find it helpful to just use some facial lotion or hand lotion around and on the lips, basically to prevent them from drying out. 1-2 weeks: Depending on how far down your leg (the farther from the heart, the longer it takes to heal), a puncture wound, if not too deep, usually takes 1-2 weeks to heal. Keep it covered with over-the-counter antibiotic ointment or aquaphor and a bandage daily for 2 weeks to improve cosmetic appearance.
