Infection, Cancer, +: Infection, hemorrhage, tumors (benign and malignant (cancerous)) fluid and even fibrosis can have a similar appearance.  If it is mostly calcified, it is likely benign, old infection called a granuloma.  Comparison to older scans can help determine if it has grown.  The concern is whether or not it is cancer.  Recommend seeing a primary care provider, perhaps a pulmonologist consult and pet/ct.

Spiculated lung mass: Could be serious.  It is likely that 3 months would not affect anything ultimately but the timing of the biopsy should be up to the physician managing the case.  It is not likely to disappear but could stay the same.

No.: A pneumonia(infammatory) in the lung might look just the same as a lung cancer. In fact if a cancer  blocks a major air tube in the klung, a post obstructive(blockage) pneumonia might result. X-ray dr (radiologist) might not be able to tell the difference betwen the two.

Need diagnosis: The first step is to confirm the diagnosis and find out for sure what the mass is and if it is a cancer. Colon cancer almost always goes to the liver first, so if the liver is clear,  it's often possible to cure the condition with an operation to remove the primary mass.

i had an x-ray since i was having chest problems and breathing difficulty. my results indicate that i had a small mass in my left lung and that a ct scan was required. my ct scan revealed nothing. i'm still having issues. should i be concerned?

: It is not feasible to provide an opinion without additional history, physical examination may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor to see if you may be depressed. Depression is treatable. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Wish you good health!

Pulmonologist!: Hi. Is it safe to assume her pneumothorax has been treated? I assume so. It sounds like she's had the phrenic nerve damaged on the side with the paralyzed diaphragm. Coughing can be a result of many things. She needs a good pulmonologist to help her!
