Should be fine: Ct-guided biopsies are ok in patients with icd's. Cardiac clearance is warranted before undergoing invasive procedures though.

i had a ct scan with contrast dye and a mrcp with contrast on the same day-- 4hours apart. also, scheduled a ct guided biopsy 2 days later. any issue?

they found a spot or scar on my left lung. after 6 months they want to do a ct guided needle biopsy. what is this?

CT guided biopsy: When a spot is close enough to the chest wall, interventional radiologists are able to use ct scan pictures to guide a small needle into a spot. Normally, when a spot is found, we follow it with ct scans. It it looks like it's getting bigger, we plan for a ct guided biopsy to find out what it is. When the spot is away from the chest wall we consider bronchoscopy vs surgical removal.

can a ct guided spine biopsy of l3 result in scar tissue? had biopsy 3 weeks ago had a burning pain in my right anterior thigh one day later. serious?

Yes, but consider...: Yes, a ct biopsy can result in scar.  However, the L3 nerve root supplies sensation to the anterior thigh.  Most likely there is swelling around or irritation of this nerve root which could be expected after this procedure.  If it doesn't resolve within a couple weeks, see your md.

i have ra, i had a mass on my chest, so they did ct-guided needle biopsy where the thymus is! doc has told me its not sarcoid, but could be lymphoma?

Wait for result: Yes, lymphoma is a possibility.  There is also relationship between autoimmune disorder like rheumatoid arthritis and certain type of lymphoma. However, i recommend you to wait until you have the result of the biopsy then you can discuss further in detail about what to do.

Nothing: A biopsy is the only certain way to make a diagnosis. However, the radio graphic appearance and the finding of a very high ca 19-9 (a blood test pancreatic cancer marker) can strongly suggest pancreatic cancer.

Several places: Usually the procedure is performed by a interventional radiologist either at the hospital or at a free standing ct center.

Both are accurate : Liver biopsies are performed for both focal liver lesions and nonfocal generalized liver disease playing a key role in the diagnosis and prognostication of various diffuse liver dysfunctions. Ct-guided procedures are generally reserved for tissue sampling of focal hepatic lesions, not accessible by ultrasound.

have had abdominal ct-guided biopsy and 2 path labs can't agree.  what next?

Is the difference in: Opinion clinically significant?  Two pathologists, like any two people may have slightly different view of a given tissue.  It is for your doctor to discuss the matter with both parties to see if the differences are just terminology/semantic or do the opinions differ enough to affect diagnosis and treatment.  If latter, it would be good to consult a pathologist at a large academic center.

possible to have pancreatic cancer not show on ct mri & eus? symptoms for a year but scans & ca19-9 negative. only 6mm simple cysts seen (no biopsy).

Possible: Possible but seems very unlikely at this point.  A biopsy may give you an answer and peace of mind.
