TIAs: A transient ischemic attack (TIA) is a transient episode of neurologic dysfunction caused by ischemia (loss of blood flow) – either focal brain, spinal cord or retinal – without acute infarction (tissue death).
Tias have the same underlying cause as strokes: a disruption of cerebral blood flow (cbf), and are frequently referred to as mini-strokes. No tiaas found. Sorry.

I think a patient's belief system & trust in medical providers are factors in survival or recovery from diseases, especially ones that are debilitating  or have a high mortaliy rate. Studies of efficacy of psychotropic medications often show a "placebo effect;" some patients improve on "sugar pills" & extra medical attention. But i'm an old " high-touch, low-tech" doctor.
