i just received my blood test results and it shows an increased crp level (10.7). i've been experiencing chest pains for a week now and my chest x-ray and blood pressure are normal. what could this be?

EKG, cardiac : A cardiac work up may be indicated. Please see your physician. Watch for signs of breathing difficulty and see a physician right away , if this occurs.

my blood test results say my crp is 5.8, i have had a brain tumor before so when i look up this up i have seen the word cancer and thats where my mind goes. what does a 5.8 crp mean?

Inflammation: Elevated CRP usually means the presence of inflammation (or infection) . Cancer is not usually the cause.

See your doctor: A LDL  of the level you have listed is concerning. Further studies need to be performed. This requires a comprehensive medical evaluation.

Decreases: In general, Ibuprofen acts as an antiinflammatory agent, and since c-reactive protein is increased when there is inflammation, there should be a dampening or decrease in CRP with ibuprofen.

been dizzy for 5 months straight now, and i just got blood test results back today, showing a high level of alt w/ p5p, and high level of c-reactive protein. is dizziness and these related, and what are the reasons why these results may be abnormal?

: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, it might have helped had you provided the actual resutls.     Wish you good health!

i recently had blood work done due to chronic low-grade fevers, diarrhea. cbc normal, cbc with differential abnormal, tsh 4.50, crp 10. the other blood test came back normally. with chronic anxiety, i am extremely worried. any advice? its a holiday?

: Understandably anxiety may escalate with unexplained symptoms. Your work up should continue with stool studies and possibly imaging studies guided by physical exam and with the help of a gastroenterologist. Focus should be on things at hand until clear answers available and in order to keep the anxiety under control.

Low iron: If the MCHC level is below 28%, this is considered too low. The MCHC level can be too low because of blood loss over time, or too little iron in the body.
